Detailed description
Did you know that …
The property has a continuous mantle of 200 hectares of excellent tempranillo vines. Alejandro Fernández’s vineyards grow since 1987 at the Duero’s bank, a land converted into mythic and at the side of poplars and willows,.
It was necessary to wait up to 1993 so that the Condado de Haza was a complete property, self-sufficient and in which all the process from the vine to the bottle takes place at home.
In order to make easy work and perfectionate wines, the structure of the winery was designed piercing a hill so that the premises of the crianza, where 3,000 new barrels and the bottle rack stay, keep natural conditions of ideal temperature and humidity with the aim of preserving the wine. All this inside a 200-metres-long tunnel and 30 metres underground and beneath the vineyard,
Manual harvesting and traditional making, with stalking and later alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel barrel.
Ageing
Condado de Haza Crianza stays in american oak barrel for 18 months and finally 6 months in bottle before marketing.
Tasting
Intense purple red colour wine with purplish hint on the edge.
Intense nose, marked by floral, fruity and spicy notes aromas with memories of american oak.
In mouth is soft, acidity well integrated and round tannic structure. Smoky, with grosella notes, liquorice and vanilla with memories of jam which provide intensity along its finish.
Pairing
Ideal with lamb roast, roast lamb cutlets with vine shoots, oxtail, suckling pig and semi-cured cheese.
